CONVOCATORIA FINALIZADA
Con inmensa alegría lxs invitamos a participar en el primer Festival Y2K en Argentina, esta vez en Buenos Aires y en la Comarca Viedma – Patagones en la Patagonia, del 7 al 17 de febrero de 2026.
El Festival reúne a representantes de diversos países y tanto la camaradería como el intercambio de ideas es fuera de serie; algo que no comúnmente se vive en este tipo de eventos. Es por esto que abrimos esta Convocatoria para participar del Festival en las distintas actividades que realizaremos en la Comarca Viedma-Patagones, del 9 al 17 de febrero.
La primera convocatoria está abierta hasta el 20 de diciembre de 2025. El requisito principal es que tu música sea realizada mediante loops totalmente en vivo, no se aceptan pistas, secuencias, o ritmos pregrabados. No hay restricciones en cuanto al género o estilo, sin embargo buscamos que el discurso musical sea propositivo. Todo el material presentado deberá ser original, o libre de derechos. En el caso de ensambles, todos los integrantes deberán crear sus propios loops.
Podés inscribirte para una o varias de las siguientes propuestas en la Comarca Viedma – Patagones:
- Charlas, Talleres e Intervenciones en espacios públicos (A realizarse del 9 al 12 de febrero)
- Intervenciones en espacios públicos y Conciertos. (A realizarse del 13 al 17 de febrero)
Dependiendo de tu espacio de intervención podrás tener de 15 a 30 minutos de set. En ocasiones, podrías tener que montar y desmontar mientras otro artista está en escena. Para ello tendrás 15 minutos de montaje y 10 para desmontar, mientras otro artista realiza su ejecución. Te pedimos ser sumamente discretx y hacerlo en silencio. Por respeto al público y a lxs demás artistas, es de vital importancia que todo el programa corra a tiempo, por lo que tu presentación podrá ser interrumpida si excede lo acordado con lxs demás artistas.
El Festival no provee backline. Deberás enviar salida de línea (mono o estéreo) a la mezcladora principal, mediante plug 1/4” o XLR. Tendremos un canal de voz adicional para anuncios. Los talleres y las charlas tendrán una duración entre 45 y 60 minutos. En el caso de los talleres se contempla un espacio abierto de improvisación colectiva con lxs asistentes. Si se requieren materiales para la realización del taller, deberán ser provistos por lxs talleristas. El Festival provee, además del sonido, un proyector y/o pantalla para materiales de soporte visual.
Desde el Festival realizaremos un proceso de selección de las propuestas. Nuestra expectativa es que todxs lxs que quieran participar, puedan tener su momento.
Toda la organización del Festival es completamente independiente y de carácter cultural y educativo y el ingreso a todas las actividades es gratuito y abierto a toda la comunidad. Al momento de esta convocatoria estamos buscando apoyos públicos y privados que, de obtenerlos, serán comunicados. En esta instancia solicitamos a cada participante que cubra sus propios gastos de transporte y hospedaje. El Festival se ocupa de la difusión de todas las actividades, la disponibilidad técnica de sonido e iluminación para todas las presentaciones y el registro audiovisual de las mismas pero no ofrece un pago por las actuaciones o el dictado de los talleres y charlas.

The Festival brings together artists from diverse countries, and both the camaraderie and the exchange of ideas are exceptional—an experience not commonly found at events of this kind. This is why we are issuing this Open Call to participate in the Festival’s various activities, to be held in the Viedma – Patagones region from February 9th to 17th.
The first application period is open until December 20th, 2025. The main requirement is that your music be created using loops performed entirely live. Pre-recorded tracks, sequences, or rhythms are not accepted. There are no restrictions on genre or style; however, we seek musical proposals with a strong conceptual focus. All material presented must be original or copyright-free. In the case of ensembles, all members must create their own loops.
You can apply for one or more of the following programs in the Viedma-Patagones region:
- February 9th-12th: Talks, Workshops, and Public Space Interventions.
- February 13th-17th: Public Space Interventions and Concerts.
Depending on your kind of intervention, your set will last between 15 and 30 minutes. On some occasions, you may need to set up and break down your gear while another artist is performing. For this, you will have 15 minutes for setup and 10 minutes for breakdown during another artist’s set. We ask that you be extremely discreet and do this as quietly as possible. Out of respect for the audience and fellow artists, it is crucial that the program runs on schedule. Therefore, your performance may be interrupted if it exceeds the agreed-upon time with the other artista. The Festival does not provide backline. You must send a line output (mono or stereo) to the main mixer via a 1/4″ or XLR cable. A separate vocal channel will be available for announcements.
Workshops and talks should last between 45 and 60 minutes. Workshops should include an open session for collective improvisation with attendees. Any materials required for the workshop must be provided by the presenter. In addition to sound, the Festival can provide a projector and/or screen for visual support materials. The Festival will curate the submitted proposals.
Our intention is that everyone who wishes to participate will have an opportunity to do so.
The Festival is organized on a completely independent, non-profit basis with cultural and educational aims. Admission to all events is free and open to the public. At this time, we are seeking public and private grants and sponsorships; any secured support will be announced accordingly. For now, we ask that all participants cover their own travel and accommodation expenses. The Festival covers the promotion of all events, provides technical sound and lighting support for all performances, and will produce audiovisual recordings of the events. However, we cannot offer fees for performances or for leading workshops and talks.
Applying to the Festival implies that you have read, understood, and agree to these participation requirements, as well as to the organizational structure and working method of the Y2K26 Argentina International Live Looping Festival.
